Free Speech

"People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought, which they seldom use"

-Soren Kierkegaard

Society as a whole gets lost in the rights they believe they are entitled to. They cry freedom for the sake of freedom but not for what they can do with it. Once freedoms are restricted, even the ones that the whole did not believe they had, chaos is initiated without thought. Fear of loss freedoms drive action without asking "Why?". Here in lies the issue, because true freedom resides in the mind, it is personified by thought. Others can not restrict or confine the conscience or the metaphysical, thus it is essential to take action in that realm, action by the way of thought, before bringing it to the physical.
